They mean to continue adding new trail information to Google Maps.

Bikers using Google Maps will be able to type in where they want to go and will then receive instructions for the best route. It even gives a preference to trails instead of roads with traffic, as long as the eventual route is not too much further.

Shannon Guymon, Product Manager for Google Maps said, “We’re thrilled to be working with Rails-To-Trails Conservancy to make RTC’s extensive bike trail data available through Google Maps and Google Earth”.

For more information to go <a

He started the dialogue by saying, “I need to talk to you about a segment of my life here that began six months ago”.

Halderman, who is facing six months in jail, had threatened to expose Letterman’s affair with Stephanie Birkitt, and others, unless he was paid $2 million dollars from Letterman. Letterman became stressed and anxious about this and felt he had no other choice than to contact the New York District Attorney’s office to inform them about what was happening.

He went on to back up what the District Attorney’s office had told him about how it would be handled professionally, by saying, “they were exactly right – it was handled professionally, skilfully and appropriately”. He then thanked individual members of the Attorney’s office by name. After this brief interlude he carried on the show, much the same as usual.

For more on this story go to <a

That is of course, unless Apple changes its mind and finally offers the iPhone 4G to Verizon.<span

In earlier talks with Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden had pledged U.S. support for Israels’ security and announced mediated talks in an effort to reach peace with the Palestinians.<span

As the Palestinians deem more settlements as a major setback to reaching a peace agreement, this was always going to be a controversial move on the part of the Israelis.

Palestinians have also made known their desire to have east Jerusalem as a capital for their promised state, so the plans are sure to cause anger with them. Joe Biden condemned the plans for the housing at the Ramat Shlomo settlement, saying strongly, “The substance and timing of the announcement, particularly with the launching of proximity talks, is precisely the kind of step that undermines the trust we need right now.”

For more on this story go to the <a

In what seems to be a concentrated effort to step up discipline on the team, the board cited the two men’s infighting as the main reason.

In a statement the board said that the effect of this seeped throughout the team and affected their play and was a “bad influence on the whole team” and that both Younis and Yousuf “should not be part of national team in any format”.

The Pakistan team’s recent tour of Australia was dismal, resulting in the loss of all their matches and a ball-tampering row. In November Younis had resigned as captain amid concerns he had lost authority. Yousuf was then made captain but failed to pull the team together. The punishments were the results of a 6 man inquiry into the team’s performance.

According to the <a

Kamran and Umar Akmal were also both fined five million rupees because of indiscipline. Are you shocked by the life bans on the two former captains? Does this seem an over-reaction from the Board, or maybe you feel they deserved their punishment?

Toyota sales up 50% since March despite recalls

U.S.

Finance
<guid

This is probably due to a range of incentives to revive deteriorating sales, such as no-interest loans and maintenance free of charge.

Sales previously had dropped because of recalls due to safety problems such as accelerator and brake issues, with certain brands being taken off sale altogether. In February sales had fallen by 9%. Toyota recalls now top 8 million worldwide, with more than 6 million of those in the U.S.

Concerns over safety issues were only elevated yesterday after reports of a runaway Toyota Prius in California (<a

The 2004-2009 Prius was one of the models recalled with floor mat safety issues.

The senior vice president of automotive operations for Toyota Motor Sales, Don Esmond, said that the 50% sales rise had surpassed company expectations. However Toyota’s fortunes on a wider scale have been dented with Toyota stock down 11% for the year. For more details on this story go to <a
