PS Vita for the US News: How to Play it Now

If you’re in the U.S. and you can’t wait to get your hands on the Sony PlayStation Vita portable gaming console due out later this month, we have some good news. You can now try out the PS Vita before you make the decision to purchase this upcoming console, as thousands of playable demo units are now in GameStop retail stores.

If you’ve already pre-ordered your PS Vita you only have until February 22 to wait, unless of course you ordered the First Edition bundle, in which case you’ll be getting your eager hands on your Vita on February 15. The idea of having a week or so to give the PS Vita a test drive first will appeal to many people and GameStop has now put PS Vita demo kiosks in over 3,300 of its stores.

The news comes to us from Engadget and the press release tells how upcoming games for the PS Vita will be playable in the demo kiosks. These games are UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss, Little Deviants, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational, EA SPORTS FIFA Soccer, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Escape Plan, Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition and wipEout 2048.

As well as this, GameStop is also offering an extra $25 on trade-ins of the Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS or Sony PSP system to help with the purchase of the new PS Vita.
