Madonna Awaits Super Bowl, Plus ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ Video

Excitement is mounting for Super Bowl 2012 and when we gave details of the times worldwide for the big game we also informed readers that Madonna would be the half-time entertainment, along with Cirque du Soleil. We can now tell you more about her performance and we also have the video for you of her new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ below this story.
The video ties in nicely with the Super Bowl theme as during the song footballers are seen lifting her up while Nicky Minaj and M.I.A. back her as cheerleaders. At one point the three of them all become Marilyn Monroe figures to great effect. We have now learned that Madonna is more than likely to be performing ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ as part of the entertainment at the Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on Sunday. She announced today that she would be singing three old songs and one new one and so it’s pretty obvious her new single will feature, especially as both Nicky Minaj and M.I.A. also say they will be performing on Sunday.
Madonna made her announcement at a press conference today but was keeping quite on what the three old songs would be during her 12-minute set. With an audience for last year’s Super Bowl of 111 million it’s difficult to imagine a bigger platform for a new single for any artist. Although the singer could almost be described as a veteran performer, such is her longevity, it seems even Madonna has nerves. She said “I am so excited to be here; incredibly nervous. In over 25 years of performing, I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous or detail-oriented – or freaked out as much,” according to The Guardian.
If you want a valid opinion on her new single the NYDailyNews gives a critique and although it’s said to be moving away from her more recent sophisticated sound to something more akin to bubble-gum pop that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Indeed NYDaily News says the new single and video “score a touchdown.” After watching the video a few times we can certainly say that the song is catchy and you’ll soon be singing along.
We’d like to hear your views on Madonna appearing at the Super Bowl and also her new song and video so take a look at it below and let us have your comments.
