UFC Results 141 in Full: Lesnar vs Overeem & Fight Video
Last night UFC 141 took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and although the main event of Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem may have been underwhelming compared to UFC 140, other bouts made up for it such as Diaz vs. Cerrone. We have full main card and prelims results for UFC 141 plus a fight video of UFC 141 highlights that you can view below this story.
The main event between heavyweights Lesnar and Overeem had been hotly anticipated but ultimately proved disappointing. Overeem had it wrapped up in the first round and once Lesnar dropped to the floor after a liver kick there was no way out. Overeem pounced for the finish, with the referee ending the fight 2:26 minutes in. Overeem’s status has now shot through the roof and he’ll claim that heavyweight title fight now against Junior dos Santos.
Sadly Brock Lesnar took the opportunity after the fight to announce his retirement. He’s been a great ambassador for UFC and retired with grace thanking all those he needed to, including Overeem. While we’re sad to see him leave we can’t help thinking it’s the right decision for him and his family and wish him the best for the future. On to the full UFC results 141 then.
