COD: Modern Warfare 3 Price Roundup – US & UK

There’s been a lot of talk about the new Grand Theft Auto V trailer that was recently released but now we want to turn our attention to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This is among the most anticipated games for 2011 so far and releases at midnight tonight. Many Call of Duty fans worldwide will be standing in line waiting to get their hands on the game as lot of stores will have special midnight openings. We have a roundup of details today for where you can find the best prices of Activision’s COD: MW3 in both the U.S. and the U.K. for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

It does seem that there isn’t a great deal about in the way of really special offers but we’ll start with the US and tell you available prices and where. The Amazon price is $56.99 and if you order it you’ll receive a promotional credit worth $10 to put towards a qualifying Turtle Beach Call of Duty: MW3 Ear Force Gaming Headset, when shipped and sold by Amazon. Alternatively if you order MW3 for Xbox 360 you could receive a $25 promotional credit to put against a digital code for an Xbox Live gold subscription. At Toys R Us select stores are opening at midnight and MW3 will cost you $59.99 and you’ll receive a free 1:43 Scale JEEP. At Sears the price is $59.99 and it’s the same at Target but at the latter if you purchase it for Xbox 360 you’ll be able to purchase a year’s Xbox Live subscription for $39.99. At Best Buy the price will be $59.99 with some stores offering midnight opening. With either version you can purchase a Strategy Guide for $9.99 or purchase the Xbox 360 version and you can buy the Xbox Live year ‘s subscription, this time for $34.99. At Fred Mayer MW3 will be priced at $59.99 with some stores opening at midnight and you’ll be offered a $5 gift voucher on purchase. Then we move on to Walmart where MW3 is priced at $56.96 with some stores opening at midnight. Moving on to the UK the game will be available at Best Buy for the price of £29.99, which appears to be the lowest cash price but you’ll have to hurry, as this is only available on launch day, November 8. The best trade-in deals, according to IncGamers.com are through HMV. If you hand over Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Battlefield 3 or GoldenEye 007: Reloaded you’ll be able to purchase MW3 for only £9.99. Game is offering MW3 for half price on a trade-in involving 10 different titles.

Online offers include Amazon at £38.91 (PC £34.91), Tesco £38.91, Asda Direct £38.97 (PC £34.97), GameStop £41.97 (PC £34.97 and Simply Games at £42.85. Supermarket prices are Asda £38.97, Sainsbury’s £38.99 (reduced by £10 if you spend £30 in store) and Tesco, £25 if you purchase using 2100/4200 MS Points card, with an Xbox Live subscription or a £35 PSN voucher.
