Motorola Droid RAZR Verizon Release Date: No later than November 10

There are two upcoming Android handsets that seem to have everybody talking at the moment, the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. We’ve already given you a comparison between these two handsets but now we have further news for you on pre-orders and a release date for the Droid RAZR.

When we gave you official specs, features and price for the Droid RAZR from it’s unveiling event, the only news we were given about a release on Verizon was that pre-orders would be available from October 27 with a rather vague release date quoted as ‘early November.’ Today though, Verizon has been sending out reminders about pre-orders for the Droid RAZR being available from 8am tomorrow with a price of $299 on the usual contract and have also let the cat out of the bag about a release.

According to Kellex over on Droid-Life the Verizon email indicates that November 10 is the latest that the Droid RAZR will be shipped. This is a date that we’ve previously reported as a rumored release date for the Galaxy Nexus and HTC Rezound, leaked from a Verizon screenshot, so it’s looking as though November 10 could be a huge day for Verizon releases. Of course it’s possible that it could actually be released earlier than November 10. Indeed, earlier today we told how the Galaxy Nexus now seems to have a UK release date of November 2 so anything is possible.

As a brief reminder of what you can expect from the Droid RAZR it has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video recording and also an HD front-facing video camera, all running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.
