Tropical Storm Earl to become hurricane – path to eastern Caribbean

We’ve been bringing you the latest Hurricane Danielle news and to read the latest on this see our previous article. However it seems as one storm fades another picks up and the news is that Tropical Storm Earl is building.

The storm is now predicted to reach hurricane status, possibly by Saturday evening, according to an AFP report. Early this morning the storm was centered around 875 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands with sustained winds of 95 mph. The path of the storm is heading westwards at 33 km per hour.

There could be a risk of Earl hitting Puerto Rico and the eastern Caribbean by Monday night or Tuesday morning. We’re also hearing news that another depression in the Atlantic may become Tropical Storm Fiona in the next few days, according to Curtis Morgan over on the Miami Herald.
