Cheryl Cole, the Girls Aloud and X Factor celebrity, will be making a return to X Factor possibly as early as the end of this week. Cole contracted malaria whilst on holiday in Tanzania which put her in intensive care for several days.

According to ITN, the celebrity was spending time in Tanzania with professional dancer Derek Hough when she contracted what can be a life threatening disease. It has been reported that Xtra Factor host Konnie Huq, is due to interview Cole at her Surrey mansion on Friday.

Whilst Cole is now on the road to recovery, guest judge and pussycat doll singer Nicole Scherzinger has told Simon Cowell that the X Factor over 25s category needs to be changed to the over 28s as so many talented singers in their mid-twenties could be potentially missed.
