New Apple iMac lineup – out today

New Apple iMac lineup – out today

You may have seen our article earlier today where we said that the Apple Store was then down, usually meaning new hardware is about to be released. We noted the idea that the new MacPros, iMacs, Cinema Display and Magic Trackpad might be on the way and wondered which ones it would be.

Well, we assumed correctly that new hardware was indeed about to be released and it seems as though all the products we mentioned are now in fact available. In this post we’re going to take a look at the update of the iMac line. The new range contains Corei3, Corei5 and Corei7 processor options, according to Darren Murph over on Engadget, sourced from Apple.

A Corei3 processor option comes in at $1,199 with a 21.5-inch display, 3.06GHz Corei3 CPU, 4GB of DDR3RAM, ATI’s Radeon HD 4670 GP and 500GB hard drive. Another Corei3 processor option priced $1,499 includes a 21.5-inch display with 3.20GHz Corei3 CPU, ATI Radeon HD 5670 GPU and 1TB hard drive.

A 27-inch display is also available with 3.20GHz Core i3 CPU at $1,699. It has 4GB DDR3RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5670 GPU and also a 1TB hard drive, with a Corei5 option. Another model comes in at $1,999 with 27-inch display, a 2.8GHz quad-core Corei5 with 8MB of shared L3 cache, with an option of the Corei7 processor. Disappointingly the Magic Trackpad will not be included with any of the iMac models but will be an accessory priced $69.
