Google Nexus Two Release Not Needed
With all the news surrounding the release of the iPhone 4 it seems other cell phone news has taken a back seat. However we’re bringing you information today about the handset dubbed the Google Nexus 2 that many people had been speculating about for some time.
The successor to the popular Google Nexus One was widely anticipated but it seems everybody got it wrong. An article by Jamie Pert over on Product-Reviews today reports that in an interview with The Telegraph, Eric Schmidt, Google’s CEO, says that a Nexus Two will not be released.
Apparently the Google Nexus One was aimed at developing the Android hardware market and now that this is so successful it’s not felt necessary to bring out a Nexus Two. As there are so many great smartphones available now from the likes of Motorola and HTC, it will enable Google to focus more on OS development.
For more on this go product-reviews.net. Are you surprised there will be no Nexus Two? Do you think it’s a good idea for Google to now concentrate on operating systems rather than hardware? We’d be interested in your thoughts about this so why not let us know.
