Watch World Cup 2010: iPhone ITV App

All the action from the FIFA World Cup 2010 has already begun and the opener between hosts South Africa and Mexico was a real thriller to start the tournament. Today sees South Korea vs. Greece, (as I speak Korea are 2-0 up), then afterwards what should be a really spirited game between Argentina and Nigeria (preview). Later tonight of course the big one that everybody is waiting for, England vs. USA (preview here).
What to do though if you’re stuck somewhere without a TV, or heaven forbid working! Now you won’t have to worry. As long as you have an iPhone and are a U.K. customer you won’t have to miss a thing as ITV have issued a special FIFA World Cup iPhone app. The free app will give you video highlights of every match along with podcasts, news, schedules and match details, according to an item on Edible Apple.
You’ll also be really pleased to learn that although it was not verified at the time of the article there was speculation that live streaming coverage of the matches would also be available and you’ll be even more pleased to know that we’ve just tried it and its playing live coverage of the match that’s on at the moment.
It’s available through the UK iTunes store here. For more information go to Edible Apple. Now you really won’t have to miss a moment of sporting action. Why not give us your thoughts so far on the World Cup, or the ITV app? We’d be interested to hear your comments.
