Premiership football title – Chelsea or Man U, who are you rooting for?

Premiership football title – Chelsea or Man U, who are you rooting for?

It’s time for the last-day title fight for the premiership with Chelsea and Manchester United both still able to take the title. However with Chelsea one point ahead, they only have to beat Wigan this afternoon to secure the title. If they draw, or lose however, and Man U can beat Stoke City, the title will still belong to the reds.

The Reds are after their fourth successive premiership title, whereas if Chelsea wins it will be their first premiership title since 2006. Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea boss knows they must not be complacent in their game against Wigan, saying “We have to maintain the same confidence in our play, the same determination, because nothing is decided”, according to BBC Sport.

Meanwhile United boss Alex Ferguson realizes his team’s fortunes rest not only on how they perform, but on what happen in the Chelsea match. To some extent then the premiership seems out of their hands but everyone knows that football is a funny old game, and it’s not over till it’s over. Considering the situation Ferguson said, “It’s pointless going into the game expecting anything from Chelsea in our favour.”

The action will kick-off at 4pm today when both teams play their matches at the same time. It’s going to be a nail-biting finale to the season for some, but especially for Chelsea and Man U fans. For more on this story go to BBC Sport.

Will you be watching the big season finale and if so who are you rooting for? Why not let us know what you think of today’s matches? In the meantime I’m supposed to remain neutral so I can’t tell you if I’ll be wearing blue or red, but one thing I will tell you is this. I may just be clad in green and gold.
