Wrestlemania 26: Who Won WWE? Recap & Full Results
The much awaited Wrestlemania 26 took place last night at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, AZ. There were some classic bouts to take place with the one that everybody was waiting for as usual, The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels. The Undertaker was putting his unbeaten streak at risk, but of course, nailed the victory, pushing Shawn Michaels into possible retirement.
John Cena was chasing after Batista in a bid to regain the WWE Championship which he duly did, while Chris Jericho was up against Edge, trying to defend the World Heavyweight Championship and he took the victory he needed to do this.
A rather interesting fight was anticipated between WWE Legend, Brett Hart vs Vince McMahon but it was no real surprise when Brett Hart won this bout, but what was a surprise was Jack Swagger taking the Money in the Bank ladder match, against some rather high-quality opponents. Many people would have been thrilled when they saw Randy Orton beat his former cronies, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes.
Other results were Triple H defeated Shamus. Could anyone really have been shocked by that? Rey Mysterio beat C M Punk, while Big Show & The Miz retained the Unified Tag Team Titles by defeating R-Truth and John Morrison. In the Diva tag match the irrepressible Vicky Guerrero, Michelle McCool, Layla, Maryse and Alicia Fox, defeated Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly.
It was another great night for Wrestlemania and although most of the results were somewhat predictable, we enjoyed it just the same. How about you? Which bouts did you enjoy most, and did any of the results really shock you?
