Anderson Cooper takes a look at Scientology & David Miscavige

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper begins a weeklong series starting tonight (Monday), looking into the controversial religion of Scientology. In particular he’ll be investigating the “history of violence” which includes allegations that David Miscavige, Scientology leader and best friend of actor Tom Cruise, physically abused other Scientology members.
Tommy Davis, a spokesman for Scientology and also son of actress Anne Archer, is featured in a discussion with Cooper. His angle on the allegations is to say that there were indeed violent acts against some members of the elite Sea Organization, and that those same guilty people were now making the claims against David Miscavige.
This all comes among the news that some high profile members who have left the organization are now condemning the leadership, such as Paul Haggis, an Oscar winner. It appears that Scientology is being propped up on the reputation of Hollywood stars, such as John Travolta, Kirstie Alley and the aforementioned Tom Cruise, none of whom has commented.
What do you think of Scientology and will you be watching the Anderson Cooper weeklong series? It’s sure to enlighten us a little more into what exactly is happening in Scientology right now. For more information go to radaronline.com.

yes i will indeed be watching… this is the same shake down that ther catholic church is going through.
I think Scientology is a global racket hiding behind 1st Amendment protection. Yes, I will be watching Cooper's series, and yes, I will be writing to my legislators demanding that this criminal organization's tax exempt status be revoked. That Scientology has abused, bankrupted and conned its members for nearly 60 years with impunity is an absolute disgrace.
You cant compare The CoS to the Catholic church. I'm not a fan of either, but there aren't catholic children signing billion year contracts that mean they live in squalor, forego and education, and work 70 hour (or more) work weeks. I've not talked to Catholics who claimed to be chased through the airport by their priest when they tried to leave town. I've never heard a Catholic say they would be punished if they weren't happy. I've never heard a nun complain of being forced to have an abortion. I've never had a catholic tell me they got married at 15 just so they would only have to share a room and bathroom with one person intead of 6. Also never had one tell me that they were forced to take massive amounts of niacin to the point of permanently damaging their liver. Or that they were only able to see their parents once a year or so growing up.
I could go on.
This is a bunch of bullocks, Ive been a Scientologist for over 20 years, including working for the church and the way I see it is – any company or organization has got dirt. Go to CNN and get some ex-CNN execs to talk about the corporation and really what is going on up there and they'll tell you some alarming things. Yes, News organizations have their own sinister ideals, and the funding sources would lead you to suspicion – including – why are pharmaceutical giants funding news agencies?
My point is, I think its just a lot of hype, ive never seen any of this in the church and ive been there for years. So its just weird and and off case and not true.
I saw the Anderson cooper interview. Just looked like two people pretending not to be homosexual. Fag on Fag interview.
Hey Austin,
I was in for just as long as you, on staff no less and you must have been living under a rock.
Not only are the stories true, they are much much worse than anyone knows.
Scientologists are brainwashed daily by production demands and verbage reinforcement. I have all the telexes to prove it.
Keep up the great work Anderson and thanks for your bravery in the face of suppression from the church counter PR campaign.

I feel sorry for you and your family
