British Airways Strike: Normal flights resume

British Airways Strike: Normal flights resume

Now that the three-day strike by British Airways cabin crew is over, the airline is attempting to resume all its normal services. According to a report at news.bbc.co.uk, British Airways says that it has now reinstated a number of flights over the next few days, which were canceled previously.

Reports say that the airline is currently reviewing it schedule for a second strike between the dates of 27th and 30th March, which again is all about pay and condition changes. And at this stage, there doesn’t appear to be any more talks planned to resolve the dispute before the next walkout.

There are some cancellations expected on Tuesday, but British Airways claim that the majority of services will be operating normally in the next four days. In a recent statement issued to the stock exchange, BA said that it had estimated that the 3-day strike had cost the company £7 million a day.

It was reported that around a third of the flights both to and from the UK’s main airports were canceled on Monday. The airline’s main hub at Heathrow appeared to suffer the biggest disruption of them all, with 201 of their 443 flights marked as canceled on BA’s online schedules.
