Replace your iPhone In 2010 with a Windows 7 Phone

The Apple iPhone has been hugely successful for the last 3 years since its release and Cupertino and the carriers working with it have all done well out of it. Riding on the back of the iPhone’s vast popularity it seemed that initially nobody noticed the features the iPhone didn’t have, such as video conferencing, Copy and Paste, Flash support or multitasking, although some of those have since been addressed by Apple.
However the good people at TFTS technology and gadgets have asked themselves if iPhone users should maybe switch to the new Windows Phone 7 series handset. Although they acknowledged the all round style and some hot features of Windows Phone 7, they also feel there are many reasons not to replace your iPhone with the Windows handset when it finally arrives.
Among the reasons is that current iPhones have copy and paste while the Windows Phone 7 will not have this facility. There’s still no true multitasking for the iPhone but there isn’t for Windows Phone 7 either so why replace your iPhone? Windows Phone 7 will not have flash support which iPhone now has. Also there are no apps in the Marketplace yet for Windows Phone 7, while the Apple store currently has over 140,000 apps.
The iPhone 4G will be available before Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 so maybe it’s worth waiting for the 4G to see if it has enhanced multitasking support and an improved camera? For more on this story go to the above link. It seems that Microsoft has had plenty of time to develop Windows Phone 7 and is still making some of the mistakes Apple made with their original iPhone. What do you think of the competition between Apple and Microsoft and will you be sticking with your iPhone or making the leap to Windows Phone 7 when it comes?
