Problems with Toyota’s recall fix for gas pedals
It was only last week, that executives at the Toyota Motor Corp. assured U.S lawmakers that the company was actually working to fix the known issues that have affected more than 8 million vehicles, and that sparked the global Toyota recall.
But according to a report at theepochtimes.com, complaints filed with federal regulators show that some Toyota owners, have recently reported unintended acceleration from their vehicles, even after the Toyota dealerships had fixed the pedal problems.
Japan-based Toyota – who are in fact the world’s largest automaker – are involved in a massive global recall that affects over 8 million vehicles, for a few separate issues including problems with steering, floor mats, brakes and gas pedals.
Over 10 of the said complaints from Toyota owners made their way to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration last week. This of course prompted the regulator to launch a brand new investigation into the issue, causing more problems for Toyota.
