When we originally reported the news that survivors had in fact been found buried in rubble 11 and 12 days after the Haiti earthquake, we could only describe it as a miracle. But it appears that an even bigger miracle has happened in Haiti recently.
According to a recent report at guardian.co.uk, a Haitian man has recently been pulled alive from rubble in the country’s capital Port-au-Prince, where he may well have been trapped since the earthquake devastated the island 27 days ago.
Evan Muncie, who is a 28-year old rice vendor, was being treated in a US-run field hospital last night, only a day after being discovered in the rubble of a marketplace that collapsed when the earthquake struck the city on January 12th.
But what has to be the true miracle of this survival story is the fact that he was malnourished, delirious and dehydrated, but did not have any serious injuries. This has to be the most remarkable survival story of them all from Haiti.
