Sarah Palin’s 2012 Presidential Bid

Sarah Palin, the former Governor of Alaska, has admitted recently that she would consider running for president in 2012, but only if the situation was right for both her family and the nation. In an interview for “FOX News Sunday,” Palin said it would be absurd not to consider it.
Palin, who has remained a leading GOP draw, added that she won’t close the door, which may be open for her in the future. The interview was recorded just before she delivered her keynote speech on Saturday night, at what was billed as the first national Tea Party convention.
Before Palin ran unsuccessfully for vice president on Senator John McCain’s Republican ticket in 2008, she had little national profile. But now she is not only the leading GOP draw, but also an unofficial symbol of the Tea Party movement.
In the recent interview with Fox, Sarah said that she believes President Barack Obama would lose a re-election bid in 2012, if he continues on the path that he has America on today and fails to change any of the policies followed so far in just over a year that he has been in office.
