American Missionaries appear in court over kidnapping charges

The 10 American Missionaries charged in Haiti with attempting to kidnap 33 children, have been giving their account of events to a judge. Laura Silsby who was the leader of the group said “I am trusting God to reveal all truths.”
Laura told reporters are the hearing that it “went well.” Silsby was then taken back to jail were here nine colleagues waited. The missionaries are accused of taking 33 children across the Dominican boarder claiming that the children were orphans however it was claimed that some children in fact still had their parents.
The other nine missionaries were expected to be heard on Tuesday. They claim that no harm was meant they just wanted to give a better life to the children. The groups previous attorney quit the case over accusations he was trying to bribe the judge. It is believed that the judge will make his decision within 3 months if convicted they could face lengthy sentences.
