A Valentine’s Love Letter is the Way to their Heart

Previously we gave you some great ideas for hand-made Valentine’s gifts. However, why not go back to real old-fashioned romance and write a love poem or letter, from your heart and in your own words.
It’s a lovely thing to receive material gifts but as all us girls know, a letter we can keep forever, or a poem to be stored away in a memento box will have us going all gooey at the knees. The more you can personalise it, especially for your loved one, the better. Even if it means mentioning their knobbly knees, or one of their numerous weird or funny habits.
For great ideas for writing your own words of love, take this link to The Sun. Apparently only half of British men have ever written a love letter. One piece of good advice is to use good stationery. It will always appear better than a scruffy missive on a tatty piece of notepaper.
Another tack is to say the things you’ve always wanted and never felt able to voice. Maybe deep and meaningful, or even getting a little saucy. Sometimes it’s easier to write things down than to actually say them.
I’m off for now but may be leaving this article strategically placed for my partner to find. You never know I could be receiving a love letter of my own this year. Why not try it for yourself, and even let us know how you got on?
