During last night’s Super Bowl there appeared an ominous sight. Popfi.com drew our attention to the ads and I felt compelled to take a look. Did I believe my eyes or were they deceiving me? First there was a rather portly, bearded, bespectacled, straggly-haired man, striding through a field. Sounds harmless you may think…but wait…he had no pants!

Then one by one copious more men joined the scene. Some of them of rather unsavoury appearance and wearing very baggy undergarments which should never have seen the light of day. Every which one of them wearing no pants. They gathered in all their glory giving a rousing rendition of the no pants song which appeared to consist mainly of the lyrics, “we wear no pants”.

This ad is very amusing and there’s one more plus point. If you go to the Dockers website they are actually giving away thousands of pairs of khaki pants in a prize draw. So, whilst I may have originally been disconcerted by the sight of so many men without pants, this has rather tickled me, and besides, the harmonies were very good!
