Now that Apple has finally unveiled its long-awaited tablet-style device, which is named the iPad, people from all across the world are waiting for news on a release date for their area. And the people of the UK are just some of them.
Apple has already announced that it is striking data deals, so that it can offer 3G connectivity with the upcoming iPad. And according to techradar.com, they tried asking UK networks whether a similar plan would be in place there.
And it appears that Vodafone, Orange and O2 all issued a resounding “No comment,” which means that it’s unlikely that the people of UK will be seeing the new iPad on their shores for a while. But that might not be the case at all.
The Carphone Warehouse issued a statement recently, which appears to hint that it’s planning to offer the iPad in the UK. Andrew Harrison, CEO of Carphone Warehouse, said that they are excited about all the slate/tablet products in the pipeline.
