Tornado Warning: Phoenix, Arizona: Adverse weather conditions
Arizona faced a tornado warning yesterday, which was in effect until 10PM MST. The US National Weather Service had expected winds to reach speeds of more than 70mph in Phoenix, but the tornado that hit was short lived, as it did not last very long.
According to a report on eworldnewz.com, the tornado that hit caused little damage only toppling power-lines and damaging some cars. According to Fox News, transmission lines on Arizona State Route 78 had become electrified.
Reports state that although the warning has now expired, there is a possibility that more tornados could hit southwestern Arizona and Southern California, so people should just be very carefully and keep a close eye on weather reports.
As you can imagine, residents in Arizona are exited about seeing a tornado, but they are still filled with some fear, as we all know how destructive tornados can be. If you have seen a tornado then please let us know.
