Pat Robertson on Haiti earthquake: CBN tries to justify

Ever since TV commentator and evangelist Pat Robertson made his controversial comments on the devastation of the Haiti earthquake on his CBN “700 Club” broadcast, the general public have been out in full force with their reactions.

As we have already mentioned in previous news, only a day after the earthquake hit Haiti leaving thousands dead and many homeless, Pat went on air and said that Haiti had been cursed with one thing after another, because of their “pact with the devil.”

Many viewers felt that Pat’s comments were indicating that the Haitian people were in fact being punished, for signing a “deal with the devil.” People started to react almost immediately to his comments, with most being of outrage.

And according to nowpublic.com, it now appears that a statement has been released by the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), which tries to justify Robertson’s comments. The statement says that Pat was speaking on Haiti’s history.

It then goes on to say that Robertson never actually stated that the tragic earthquake that hit Haiti, was “God’s wrath.” The statement says that Dr. Robertson has been working to help thousands of people in Haiti over the last year.

What do you think of CBN’s statement? You can read more of the story here.

Well if the Haitians made a deal with the devil to gain freedom after being enslaved for 300 years, then who do you suppose the conquistadors , crusaders, and europeansmade a deal with for them to rape, pillage, and murder civilizations the way they did?

Robertson is so fake. I ceased to listen to him. Unfortunately many still follow this moron rather than the Word.

For his information, Napoleon was not even born before the Haitians overthrew slavery or maybe he is saying being in servitude was better than being free. Americans should educate their children comprehensively so that they do not become misled by these fake leaders who claim to know it all when they obviously do not.

The Robertson guy is really and truly a moron. It is not his first time of spilling filth from his lavatory of a mouth. One wonders how anyone who professes to know God would make such an insensitive statement at a time tens of thousands of God’s childred for whom, Christ died were either dead and buried under the rubbles, or crying to be saved. It is hightime Christianity distanced itself from disguised demons like the Robertson fellow!

Everybody misunderstands Pat Robertson. He is only stating a fact. It is the truth. May God have mercy on people who attacks him when he is just telling the history of Haiti. That guy that showed his middlefinger at Pat: Beware! God hates liars. Pat is no liar. May God be the judge what must happen to you by attacking Pat like that.
