UK Motorists Warned of Icy New Year

Motorists in the UK have been warned to prepare themselves for an icy New Year’s Eve, as freezing weather brought more disruption to parts of Britain on Wednesday. According to ft.com, Wales was the worst affected area, with snow causing dangerous driving conditions.
Wintry weather also swept across Scotland and parts of northern England. There was also snow reported on the Pennines, and several centimetres was said to have settles in the Midlands. Three men died when their car left a snowy stretch of the M62 on Tuesday night.
Some ferry services between Wales and Ireland were affected by the weather, as was passengers due to travel from Cardiff and Inverness airports. And according to recent reports, rail services between Perth and Inverness were also affected by the recent bad weather.
