Peshawar Suicide Bomb Attack: Four Killed

It was only a few days ago, that we brought you the news of a suicide bomb attack outside a press club in Peshawar, Pakistan that killed three people. And now it appears that the town has been targeted by yet another suicide bomber, this time killing four.
According to AFP, a suicide bomber targeted a security checkpoint in Peshawar on Thursday. Senior police officer Mohammad Karim Khan said that the attacker was trying to cross the checkpoint and when he didn’t succeed, he blew himself up.
The bomber targeted a checkpoint that is in the army cantonment, blowing himself up in one of the busiest areas of Peshawar. The attack happened outside a government office and a church, where Pakistan’s Christian minority were ready to celebrate Christmas.
One policeman and three passers-by were believed to be among the dead, with administration officials saying that more than ten people were wounded in the attack. The attacks appear to be escalating in the city, which has a population of 2.5 million.
