Twitter Hacked By Group Calling Themselves ‘Iranian Cyber Army’

Millions of people were unable to use the popular microblogging website Twitter during the night, after it was hacked by a group which called itself the “Iranian Cyber Army.” Those who did try to use the site were redirected to another site, which had a green flag.
According to reports from cnn.com, the website was down for almost an hour. Unfortunately, representatives from Twitter could not be reached immediately to give comment. But the company have since spoken about the issue, on its official Twitter page.
The company were believed to have posted at about 2:30 am ET on Friday, to say that Twitter’s DNS records had been temporarily compromised. They then went on to say that they had been fixed, and that they would update with more information shortly.
