Hundreds of protesters took to the streets and marched towards a Copenhagen conference center on Wednesday and according to reports from reuters.com, a spokesman said that the protesters were planning to break through a police cordon.
The demonstrators were believed to have set out from Taarnby, which is a suburb of Copenhagen that is only a few kilometers away from the Bella Center conference facility, where 190 delegates were meeting to discuss a global climate pact.
Climate Justice Action, which is the group that organized the recent march, said that around 1,000 people were expected to take part in the march, although police actually declined to estimate the number of protesters. You can read the full story here.
