British Airways Strike: Alternative Travel Options Offered

It looks like passengers that are affected by the British Airways strike, can breathe a little easier now. According to dailymail.co.uk, recent news has revealed that two other major airlines are putting on more flights, and increasing capacity on key routes that may be affected.
BMI, which is the second biggest airline operating in the UK, has recently announced that it is looking into a range of options, to help out passengers left stranded. A spokesman for BMI said that they will do all they can, to assist people who have been caught up in the dispute.
This news follows yesterday’s announcement by Virgin, that it would be providing an additional 1,600 seats on key routes over British Airways 12-day strike period. The carrier said it will use bigger planes on route to New York, Boston, Washington and Delhi.
