With breakfast sales having slowed considerably at fast-food restaurants recently, McDonald’s Corp. is trying to do something about it. According to online.wsj.com, they have recently announced that they are launching a $1 breakfast menu in January 2010.
As unemployment rises, fewer people are commuting to work and that means fewer people are going in to fast-food restaurants to have their breakfast. McDonald’s spokeswoman Danya Proud says that customers continue to look for everyday affordability.
The new $1 breakfast menu will be backed with advertising all over the U.S. and will feature five different items: 2 sausage sandwiches, a sausage burrito, a 12-ounce coffee and a hash brown. In addition to this, they will be offering a Mac Snack Wrap for $1.49.
