91 White House Breaches Revealed in Secret Service Papers

As many of you will know, a couple of gate-crashers managed to penetrate a White House state dinner recently but according to reports from heraldnet.com, it was way before then that the Secret Service had detailed a lengthy list of security breaches.

In fact, some of them date back to the Carter administration. The document, which has been confirmed by a Secret Service official, listed 91 security breaches since 1980. A summary of the report place Tareq and Michaele Salahi on the rogue list.

The Salahis were not on the guest list for the November 24th state dinner, and had not been cleared by the Secret Service for admission into the White House. But despite that, they managed to get in and even managed to shake hands with President Barack Obama.

While testifying before Congress last week, Mark Sullivan, who is the Secret Service director, said that normal security protocols had not been followed during the dinner. Since the incident, three officers have said to have been put on administrative leave.
