The missing 12-year old Chicago girl Jameshia Conner has been found dead recently, after being missing for two weeks. Reports from examiner.com say that the body was found strangled and dumped in an alley, close to the girl’s home.

Authorities believe that Jameshia had only been dead one day, before her body was discovered. The girl’s family are now said to be criticizing police, saying that they did not give Jameshia’s case the attention that it really required.

They believe that if the case had been handled correctly by the police, Jameshia might still be alive now. The family have said that the police mistakenly marked her case as a run-away, rather than a case of a missing endangered child.
