It was only on Monday 16th November, that space shuttle Atlantis was launched. And according to reports from edition.cnn.com, the crew members are all ready to come home, as it is scheduled to land today, at 9:44 am ET.
Amid all the preparations for returning home, crew members still managed to have a Thanksgiving meal, which according to NASA, included smoked turkey, green beans, mushrooms, candied yams and cornbread dressing.
Reports say that NASA will evaluate the weather conditions at Kennedy Space Center, before permitting Atlantis and its crew to land. An alternate time of 11:19 am has also been given for the same day and same location.
The crew are returning from an 11-day mission, which was to deliver key spare parts to prolong the life of the international space station. The original six-member crew will be returning to Earth, with flight engineer Nicole Stott.
