Thanksgiving Turkey Cooking Times and Roasting Tips
For many of you, cooking a Thanksgiving dinner just comes naturally to you as you may have been doing it for years already. But for others, it may well be the first time and they might just be wondering about how long to cook the turkey for.
Then for others, they may just want a few tips on how to get the perfect roast turkey. We found a website called recipetips.com, which is the ideal site to help with all those queries, giving you information on cooking times and roasting tips.
Now I have to admit, I am not the best of cooks so this site may just give me some pointers. And one tip that it starts off with, is to roast your turkey breast-side down for the first hour to help keep it moist, and then turn after the first hour to finish cooking.
Another tip that some of you may know already, is to lay celery at the base of your roasting pan, to add flavor to the juices for a delicious gravy. And another tip says to place sliced lemon or a whole onion in the cavity of the turkey, for a similar purpose.
