According to a memo obtained by Reuters, Goldman Sachs Group Inc., have introduced it’s new class of working directors which now stand at 272 executives, all believed to receive billions of dollars pay in year-end bonuses.
The claim comes from an unnamed source, who is familiar with the group known as GS.N, and the promotions for these new directors is set for January 1, making them eligible to receive the huge bonus pay, received by current executives within the company.
Although the bank has paid back $10billion that was given to the group out of a taxpayer bailout, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. are still putting aside nearly $17 billion for it’s year-end bonus scheme that has caused them to be publically ridiculed.
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. have reported that they have been making a net $3 billion in profits within the last two quarters, but when they were asked to comment on the issue, they declined.
