Shaniya Davis Not Found Yet: Mother Arrested
The mother of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis, who has been missing since Tuesday has been arrested by the Fayetteville police for suspicion of submitting and subjecting her child to prostitution and sexual servitude. She has also been charged for numerous felonies including human trafficking, child abuse involving prostitution, filing a false police report and resist, delay or obstruct an officer.
Shaniya Davis, the daughter of the arrested mother Antoinette Nicole Davis was reported missing from her home on Tuesday morning, when she was put on the couch at 5.30am, and was gone an hour later when she came to check on her.
Antoinette Nicole Davis has being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $51,000 bond since Saturday.
The father of the missing girl, Bradley Lockhart said that he raised the 5-year-old for a number of years, but after the mother recently got a new job and a new home, decided to let his daughter stay with her mother. He claims that the relationship between himself and Antoinette Nicole Davis was a “one night stand,” and have never had issues about raising Shaniya.
Although police have arrested Mario Andrette McNeill, 29, on Friday, who has apparently admitted to taking the girl, will plead not-guilty to charges of first-degree kidnapping.
The missing girl and NcNeill were supposedly captured on a security video from a hotel at 6.11am, but by the time investigators got there, they had checked out.
Shaniya is described as 3 feet tall and 40 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with pink underwear. She is thin and has a scar on her foot.
