Veterans Day 2009 has various ways in which we can honor our military for its services in the past. Dollar General has decided to offer a discount in 2009 for all veterans including active military members and their families on November 11, 2009. All Veterans will receive a ten per cent discount offered by Dollar General to spend in any of their stores.
Wednesday November 11th is the day Reno’s Veterans Day parade will be taking place. The parade will start at court Street at 11am and shall be running north to 5th Street, covering S. Virginia Street in downtown Reno. During the parade journey, it will make a stop on the Virginia street bridge in memory of the fallen men and women of our armed forces, where a wreath will be dropped into the Truckee River.
There will be no fees for the veterans on November 11th, during their visit to the federal recreation land. To read more about the 2009 Reno Parade on veterans day visit about.com. What are your thoughts on veterans day? Will you be attending any parades on November 11th?
