Swine flu vaccine by invitation only‎ in Britain

Swine flu vaccine by invitation only‎ in Britain

When you look at Britain and the whole Swine Flu vaccine program we do not see the long line of queues that we are seeing in the U.S. and there is good reason for this. The H1N1 vaccine is by invitation only‎, which means that people are not crying out of the injustice of it all.

Even when you go to visit your doctor, there are not patients shouting at the doctor demanding to be given the vaccination. Europe is also doing the same thing and it certainly feels more civilized when you visit your local GP or medical centre.
According to sources, Dr. Steve Field, president of the Royal College of General Physicians said “That is one of the great advantages of the British health system.” Field also added “We have a list of all the names of patients who qualify to be vaccinated.”

Britain launched its pandemic vaccination program in October, it was put in place to make certain that priority groups would receive the swine flu vaccine first; this includes pregnant women, those suffering from diabetes, cancer and AIDS as well as health workers. Get more information here.
