Joseph Cao Supports Democrats: Health Care Reform Bill

Out of the 177 Republican lawmakers voting on the new health care reform by the Democrats, just one Republican voted for the new bill. The one Republican was Joseph Cao from the New Orleans district, 219 Democrats shared in his belief of the new reform with Cao helping the party win by 220 to 215, which we discussed in a previous article.
The Republican’s will certainly be unhappy with Cao, but he wanted to support the bill as he was promised by President Barack Obama that the new bill will help to address the “critical health care issues of Louisiana,” Which the Huffington Post reported.
House Minority Leader John Boehner has often seen Joseph Cao as “the future” of the GOP. The Republicans know how important Cao’s vote was and went to great lengths to keep him involved in the healthcare vote. Eric Cantor, the House Minority Whip must be feeling a little embarrassed by now, as he said “not one Republican will vote for this bill.”

Kudos to Republican Representative Joseph Cao and all the house representatives who supported Americans by voting for the Healthcare Reform Bill. It takes a great deal of courage these days to do what is right for America versus what is best for them politically Shame on all the republicans and democrats who voted against the bill. It is obvious that they chose to help themselves before their constituents.
