Fort Hood Texas Army Base Shootings: 12 dead 31 Wounded

U.S. Army base in Fort Hood, Texas was left in shock today after a soldier had started to shoot up the place. The shooting at Ft. Hood has left 12 people dead and 31 wounded. Authorities at the scene opened fire and killed the gunman; two other soldiers suspected in the attack were apprehended.
According to Lt. Gen. Bob Cone, he stated in a news conference that the shooting took place around 1:30 p.m. The scene of the shootings were at the Soldier Readiness Center, this is where the soldiers were being prepared to be deployed, some were also there after returning from tour.
According to sources not much is known about the three soldiers who were suspected to have taken part in the incident. The soldier who was shot and killed had two handguns on him.
After the shooting Fort Hood was locked down, those who were wounded in the attack were sent to hospitals in the surrounding area. President Barack Obama commented on the attacks, calling them “a horrific outburst of violence.”
