National Christmas Tree Lighting: Ticket Lottery Starts Today

Free tickets are to be made available during a lottery for the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony which takes place on December 3rd at 5pm, on the Eclipse, south of the White House. The lottery will be hosted by The National Park Service and the National Park Foundation.

To register for the event, guests and willing participants can register on the website http://www.thenationaltree.org, which opens at 12:01am ET on Wednesday, and closes at 11:59pm on Friday night. All winners that are selected by the lottery will receive mail through the post, or an email on November 15th. All attendee’s including your children must have tickets.

There will be around 2,800 seats available for the event, or should you want to stand, there will be 7,000 tickets available. If you are unable to gain access to a computer you can call 877-444-6777 to enter the lottery. The hearing impaired can also call 877-633-6777 if they have no computer access.
