Nick and Christy Harp set the world record for the World s Largest Pumpkin, which weighed a massive 1,725 pounds. That is a huge pumpkin, but we have to wonder if they will be carving out for Halloween this year. If they did, that would take a huge carving stencil, but what design would they choose.

The couple competed for the world’s largest pumpkin last year, they competed with each other and Nick won by 200 pounds, this year Christy beat her husband by 400 pounds, our wives always have to go one better.

The husband and wife separate their patch and never usually step foot on each others. Christy told Fox News that at one stage her pumpkin was growing at least 33 pounds each day, she said the key to her success was mixing soil with compost, coffee grounds and cow manure.
