Sex Attack Prompts Extra Police Presence in Point Grey

A sex attack on a woman has now prompted extra police presence in the Point Grey area of Vancouver. The woman was badly beaten and then was subjected to a terrifying sexual assault. Police officers are now calling for witnesses as well as taking statements from residents in the hope of finding the woman’s attacker.
Vancouver police spokesman Const. Lindsey Houghton told The Vancouver Sun “This is an unbelievably important case for us to solve.” Houghton also added that officers would now have a stronger presence in the area.
Houghton went on to say that, the 24-year-old woman was now out of hospital. She had been walking on a sidewalk right next to Hastings Mill Park, when a man jumped out and attacked her. The man hit her in the face and head a number of times; she was then dragged into the park where she was then sexually assaulted.
The attacker is described as having a British accent, medium build and clean-shaven, she could not tell the police anymore as he had a handkerchief covering his face.
