Study Of Prostate Cancer Prevention Stopped

It has been announced that The National Cancer Institute has stopped its $114 million study into whether selenium and vitamin E and can prevent prostate cancer after a look at the data showed no benefit.

It’s said that there was slightly more diabetes in men taking only selenium and slightly more prostate cancers in men taking vitamin E alone.

All of the study participants have been told to stop taking the two pills they’d been taking every day since the trial opened in 2001. It’s said that the men taken part in the study may call the NCI’s Cancer Information Service.
