Kent frozen fruit and vegetable specialist Ardo UK has launched an Ask Our Chefs! online service in response to customer demand.

Anyone who buys from Ardo UK’s extensive range of frozen produce, ranging from the familiar, such as carrots and sweetcorn to the more unusual, such as chickpeas and chestnuts is now able to email Ardo’s two in-house chefs with their recipe queries and challenges to chefs@ardouk.com.

Ardo UK’s chefs, Robert Abreu and John Lowrie are both highly experienced chefs. Robert has cooked at the Dorchester Hotel and for celebrities, including Sean Connery and Tom Cruise, while John has cooked in a number of top hotels, including Michelin-starred kitchens. The duo are based at Ardo’s UK centre at Charing near Ashford in Kent.

John said of the new service: “We’re happy to deal with all sorts of queries, from experienced cooks wanting something unusual for their dinner guests, to busy people wondering what dishes to prepare after work made from ingredients in their home freezers. We can also offer recipes for mums and dads looking for hints on how to sneak healthy vegetables into their kids’ meals.

“In the run-up to Christmas we can take some of the stress out of entertaining, with the Ask Our Chefs! service and with our website menu of recipe ideas listed at www.ardouk.co.uk.
“In challenging economic times it’s good to know that there’s no waste with frozen produce, because the cook only uses what he or she needs.”

Most online queries to chefs@ardo.uk.com will be answered within 24 hours (except at weekends). There is no charge for the service.
