Do you think your monster pumpkin is the biggest in the area? Or does it just look ugly? What about dressing it up as a Halloween ghoul? Yalding Organic Centre is holding its annual Pumpkin Competition on Sunday 26th October and is taking on all comers to see if the centre’s pumpkins are the biggest. There are prizes for the biggest, ugliest and best dressed.

Head Gardener Sheryl Richardson said: “The wet summer has meant that we have grown some real monsters this year. We are confident that our star pumpkin will be crowned champion, but you never know what is out there.”

Centre Director Steve Oram added: “The pumpkin competition is the climax of our Halloween Weekend events this year, and we are looking forward to seeing the other entries. With a Fancy Dress competition and a Garden Witch Hunt, we are really looking at family fun all over the weekend.”
