Scoot round Wildlife Conservation Park with electric mobility scooters

Over the past few years Wildwood has spent considerable time and money improving the paths around the park to make them more disabled friendly using recycled road planings.
We also supply wheelchairs for those who may not be able to get round the park under their own steam but this means the wheel chair user really needs a good strong person to push them round.
However some visitors who still find it difficult to get around the park now have an alternative to walking or being pushed – electric mobility scooters.
A local business recently contacted Wildwood to offer their services – Herne Bay Mobility – who have recently relocated onto the industrial estate next to Wildwood are offering the free use of one of their electric mobility scooters to get around the park. All visitors have to do is get in contact with David Aldridge at Herne Bay Mobility Ltd on 01227 710055 where they can collect a scooter then return it at the end of their visit.
Just to make sure that the scooters can get round the park a member of staff has in fact ridden one round the whole park, and it got around without a problem!
“This is a great scheme for those visitors who might not think of visiting Wildwood” commented Penny Cornet , Visitor Services Manager at Wildwood “but these electric scooters make the park very easy for people who may struggle to get all the way round”
Wildwood’s ‘Wildlife Conservation Park’ is an ideal day out for all the family where you can come ‘nose to nose’ with British Wildlife. Wildwood offers its members and visitors a truly inspirational way to learn about the natural history of Britain by actually seeing the wildlife that once lived here, like the wolf, beaver, red squirrel, wild boar and many more.
Wildwood is situated close to Canterbury, just off the A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury.

Another reason why scooters are great. I hope this catches on at other parks. Everyone should get a scooter they are safer and would lower the gas prices for everyone.
