Wild cat Kitten needs a name
The wild cat kitten born at Wildwood earlier this year now needs a name. Unfortunately this could not be done earlier as it was not known if the kitten was male or female.

Since a recent visit from the vet we can announce that she is a she and is in excellent health.

Many of the keepers had already guessed that the kitten was probably a girl because she had been far more adventurous than her brother Macavity from the previous year.

She has been seen climbing, playing and hunting by members of the public and really put her much shyer sibling to shame.

Wildwood Trust are offering a FREE family ticket to visit our Canterbury-based Woodland Discovery Park for the best suggestion for a name for this cute wild cat kitten. Suggestions should be e-mailed to info@wildwoodtrust.org or posted to Wildwood Trust, Herne Common, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 7LQ. The parents names are Hamish and flora.

“Now we know the kitten is a she we need to give her a name” commented Christine Read The Wild Cat Keeper at Wildwood “and I am sure that someone has a great idea for a name, last years name for Macavity was great”.

Wildcats are just one of the huge range of British animals that can be seen at the Wildwood Discovery Park. For more information visit the website at www.wildwoodtrust.org or telephone 0871 7820087.
