I can remember as a kid my dad being a bin collector and collecting everyone’s rubbish, although he did not do the job for a long time, I remember it was hard work.

These days its all very confusing, they seem to have a walk in the park bin collectors and having our rubbish left outside again for one small item that ended up in there, it gets very annoying…where is the common sense.

We spend all week making sure we get all the right rubbish in the right bins, washing out cans and trying to do our bit for the environment and help these bin collectors have an easier life. Then they just leave your rubbish outside and wonder why rats and other rodents are on the increase.

The local councils and central government have made a joke out of rubbish collection in Kent and the rest of the UK, how can they leave rubbish collection in our area for 2 weeks at a time, this is directly sending us back in time with more rats on our streets.

Yes we should recycle, we must…but there should also be a little common sense and the bin collectors and councils should work with us and not against us, after all we pay their wages with our taxes.

We went outside today and asked why they did not take our rubbish, they pointed to one item and after taking that out and showing all the bin to be fine and recyclable rubbish, they still said they are not taking it…This is why the UK’s rubbish collection has become a joke, lets have a discount off our taxes and dump our own rubbish.
